MacVital requests only the minimal system permissions necessary for its intended features:

To ensure application stability, diagnose unexpected crashes, and monitor performance, MacVital integrates Google Firebase SDKs (Crashlytics & Analytics):

  • Firebase Crashlytics: Automatically captures anonymous stack traces, error logs, and system states (e.g., Mac model identifier, macOS version, free RAM at crash time) strictly when a fatal crash or handled exception occurs.
  • Firebase Analytics: Collects aggregated, non-personally identifiable diagnostic events (e.g., application launch count, screen views, feature interaction frequencies) to help us optimize performance.
  • No PII Attached: No Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as personal files, filenames, IP addresses, names, or hardware sensor logs is ever transmitted.
